The about pages generally receive the least amount of love in apps. Just look at the current one. That is your business card, it represents who you are. So what better place to start a redesign than here.

Goodbye Roboto

Roboto has been around for a decade. While still a great font, apps should follow their brand design guidelines.

Therefore, the font for headlines is Raleway. I replaced Arial with Open Sans, because that's a better pairing (and Arial isn't open source).

New icons

Material Icons can work great, but for this, Phosphor Icons look more modern and friendly.

Welcome Color Palette

I changed the background from a rich black to a dark grey, which looks a lot better with orange and will also allow for black media thumbnails to be visible.

The brand color has been changed from three different shades of orange (neither of which matches the one on the website) to just two: a rich orange for text & outlines and a desaturated version for surfaces.

This is my donation to the VideoLAN Association, I hope it helps you improve your app.
